This month 50 years ago there was a operation named after our city. The operation took place in Tuy Ninh Province in South Vietnam. The operation consisted of 196th Light Infantry Brigade, 25th Division, 1st Infantry Division, and a brigade of the 4th Division, as well as numerous Army of the Republic of Vietnam and Regional Forces/Popular Forces and Nungs.
155 American Soldiers were killed during the two month operation and 494 were wounded.
3 soldiers valor earned them the Medal of Honor.
This lecture will focus on the deeds and actions of 5 men during the operation that changed their lives.
