Opioid/Drug Awareness Day
Saturday, October 15th 2016
12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
This year in lieu of our traditional open house, members of Ezekiel Bates Lodge have decided to give back to the community and host an Opioid/Drug Awareness day. This event is open to families to learn more about this epidemic. Please don’t think it couldn’t happen to someone you love.
Why is this important?
Opioid related deaths have tripled in Massachusetts in the last 5 years.
There is no safe demographic. Everyone is affected!

The agenda for the day will be:

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Attleboro Police Department will discuss the issues and how to identify someone who has/is under the influence.

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
EMT Derek Hindle will discuss emergency first aid and show demonstrations of what the Emergency Medical teams do with an overdose victim.

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Senator Richard Ross, Representative Paul Heroux and Representative Betty Poirier will discuss recently passed legislation as well as upcoming legislation that is designed to help curve this epidemic.

The event will be followed by a question and answer period.
Let us know you are coming!
