Grand Master of Denmark<\/p>\n

King of Denmark from March 13th 1808 to December 3rd 1839 and King of Norway from March 13th 1808 to February 7th 1814. From 1784 until his accession, he served as regent during his father’s mental illness and was referred to as the “Crown Prince Regent” (kronprinsregent<\/i>). For his motto he chose God and the just cause (In Danish: Gud og den retf\u00e6rdige sag<\/i><\/span>)<\/p>\n
